The short version: SoberX is a local-first app. Your check-ins, drink logs, cravings, journal entries, moods, photos and goals are stored only on your device. We do not run an account system, we do not have a server that collects your tracking data, and we do not sell or share your personal information. There are no ads and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs in the app.
This Privacy Policy explains how the SoberX mobile application (the
“App”) handles information. It applies to the App published under the
package name com.shreeradharani.sobertracker. By using the App you
agree to this policy.
The App is developed and published by the SoberX team (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at toolkit.apps@outlook.com for any privacy question or request.
Everything you enter into the App is written to local storage on your phone and stays there. This includes:
This data is never transmitted to us. We cannot see it, and we cannot recover it for you if you delete it or lose your device. The App has no login and no cloud backup.
You can erase everything at any time from Profile → Delete account. This permanently removes all App data from the device. Uninstalling the App also removes its local data.
The App lets you export your data as a single .zip file (your
entries as JSON plus your journal photos) and import it back later. When you
export, the file is handed to your device’s share sheet and you choose
where it goes — we are not involved in that transfer.
If you attach a photo to a journal entry, the App uses your device’s photo picker to let you select an image. The selected image is copied into the App’s private local storage. Photos are not uploaded anywhere.
If you enable the daily reminder, the App schedules a local notification on your device using the operating system. No push service is used and no data leaves your phone for this feature.
SoberX Premium is an optional paid upgrade. Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Google Play Billing and managed through RevenueCat, our in-app purchase infrastructure provider.
The App uses the Google Fonts library to render its typefaces. On first use
a font file may be downloaded from Google’s font servers
(fonts.gstatic.com) and cached on your device. This request
contains standard technical information (such as your IP address) as part of
any network connection, and is handled by Google under
Google’s Privacy Policy.
The App does not send your personal or tracking data in these requests.
Some screens (for example the Health Benefits sources) contain links that open in your browser when you tap them. Once you leave the App, the destination website’s own privacy policy applies.
Because your tracking data lives only on your device, retention is entirely in your control — it stays until you delete it or uninstall the App. Purchase records held by Google Play and RevenueCat are retained according to their respective policies.
The App is intended for adults and is not directed to children under the age required to purchase or consume alcohol in your jurisdiction, and in any case not to children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable). We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. For data held on your device, you can exercise these rights directly in the App (view, edit, export, and delete). For purchase data, contact Google Play or RevenueCat. For anything else, email us at toolkit.apps@outlook.com.
SoberX is a self-tracking and wellbeing tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not a substitute for professional help. If you are in crisis or need support with alcohol use, please contact a qualified professional or a local support service.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
